Internal Cabinet Reflections-The Rear Wave: The non-parallel sides and sloped front reduce rear wave distortion effect and permit freer cone movement resulting in truer sound reproduction.

Trapscan

Non-parallel sides elicit unparalleled performance.

 Configuration makes all the difference.

Diverting and dispersing the energy emanating from the back of woofer to the interior of the cabinet (since speaker cones play in two directions) is the main advantage of non-parallel panels. The return path for the energy is directed over a longer excursion and time domain resulting in less direct sound pressure on the rear of the cone thereby reducing interference with the sound emanating from the front. The result is truer reproduction. Woofer fidelity in cabs with parallel fronts and backs is hampered by the energy which bounces off the rear of the cabinet and loads the rear of the cone. Deeper cabinets reduce the effect. But non-parallel panels clinch desired results.

Many complimentary quality matched tweeter/ bass-mid combinations are possible in this format.

$949.00 / PAIR

The Trapscan features a 1" ScanSpeak dome tweeter, the ScanSpeak 7" bass-mid, a 24/12dB crossover, tinned military-type wiring, and teflon jacketed long grain flat copper wire for the tweeter.

Shown in red oak finished with European Cherry and solid oak edge trim. Grilles are optional

Sensitivity 89dB.

Power handling: 100 watts RMS

Impedance: 8 ohms

Response: available in monitor response which is nominally flat 42-22Khz @-3dB or audiophile response with -6dB gradual declining slope from reference of 100hz down to 22khz.

Terminations: Dual bi-wireable 5-way gold plated over brass binding posts is the standard configuration.

The bi-ampable and full passive termination set is shown. This allows a full electronic crossover with only a capacitor on the tweeter as well as the standard passive full frequency crossover.
